Plans & Billing
Can I switch plans?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time with prorated adjustments. When you upgrade, we'll immediately apply the new plan features and charge you the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle. When downgrading, changes take effect at your next billing date.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
You'll receive email notifications when you reach 80%, 90%, and 100% of your plan limits. Once you exceed limits:
Link creation: You won't be able to create new short links until your count resets or you upgrade
Click limits: Existing links continue working, but clicks stop being counted in analytics
Team members: Can't add more users until you upgrade
Custom domains: Can't add additional domains until you upgrade
You can upgrade mid-cycle or purchase add-ons to continue using premium features.
Is there a contract?
Only for Enterprise plans. Our Free, Pro, and Business plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel anytime without penalties. Enterprise plans typically have annual contracts to accommodate custom configurations, dedicated support, and SLA guarantees, but terms are negotiable based on your organization's needs.
Do you offer annual billing discounts?
Yes! Save up to 14% with annual billing:
Pro: $9/month billed monthly → $99/year (save $9/year)
Business: $29/month billed monthly → $299/year (save $49/year)
Enterprise: Custom annual contracts with volume discounts available
Annual plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, and bank transfers (for annual Business and Enterprise plans). All payments are processed securely through our PCI-compliant payment partners.
Is there a free trial?
Yes! All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. During your trial, you'll have full access to Pro plan features. If you don't upgrade to a paid plan after 14 days, your account will revert to the Free plan, but all links you created during the trial will remain active.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. If you're unsatisfied for any reason, contact our billing team within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. Annual plan refunds are prorated based on unused time. Request a refund
Do you offer discounts for non-profits or educational institutions?
Yes! Registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations receive 40% off all paid plans. Educational institutions and verified students/educators receive 50% off Pro and Business plans. Apply for discounts

What happens to my links if I downgrade my plan?
When downgrading:
Existing links: All your existing short links remain active and functional
Premium features: Features not included in your new plan will be disabled
Custom domains revert to zipbit.ly links
Advanced analytics stop tracking
Team members beyond your new limit lose access
Data retention: You have 30 days to export data that exceeds your new plan's limits
Bio pages: Pages using premium widgets may display reduced functionality
We recommend exporting important data before downgrading.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes! All paid plans include custom domain support:
Pro: 1 custom domain
Business: 3 custom domains
Enterprise: Unlimited custom domains

Do you offer white-label/brand removal?
Yes! All paid plans include brand removal:
Pro: Remove "Zipbitly" branding from links and QR codes
Business: Remove branding from all pages and analytics
Enterprise: Full white-label solution with your branding throughout
Free plan users see "zipbit.ly" domains and Zipbitly branding on all pages.
Can I export my data?
Export options vary by plan:
Free: No export available
Pro: CSV export of clicks and links
Business: CSV, JSON, and Excel exports with advanced filtering
Enterprise: All formats plus real-time API access and custom export scheduling
Is there an API available?
Yes! API access starts with the Business plan:
Business: 100 requests/minute with full access
Enterprise: Custom rate limits or unlimited requests
Pro/Free: No API access

What happens to my QR codes if I change plans?
QR codes remain active regardless of plan changes:
Static QR codes (Free plan) continue working forever
Dynamic QR codes (paid plans) remain editable and trackable
If you downgrade from a paid to Free plan, dynamic QR codes become static (destination can't be changed)
Can I transfer ownership of links or domains?
Yes! Within the same account, you can reassign links between team members. Transferring domains or links to a different Zipbitly account requires assistance from our support team for security verification. Enterprise plans include bulk transfer tools.
Technical & Support
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your Billing Settings:
Click "Cancel Plan" in your current plan section
Choose whether to cancel immediately or at the end of your billing period
Confirm cancellation
You'll retain access to paid features until the end of your paid period. No further charges will be made. Need help? Contact support
What happens if I forget to pay?
We send payment reminders 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your billing date. If payment fails:
Day 1-3: Service continues, retry attempts made automatically
Day 4-10: Account enters "grace period" - premium features disabled
Day 11+: Account downgraded to Free plan
All your links remain active, and you can upgrade again anytime to restore premium features.
Do you offer invoicing?
Yes! Invoicing is available for:
Business and Enterprise plans
Annual subscriptions
Organizations requiring purchase orders

Can I use Zipbitly for affiliate marketing?
Yes! Many of our users successfully use Zipbitly for affiliate marketing. Paid plans include:
UTM parameter support

Always comply with platform rules (Amazon Associates, etc.) regarding link shortening.
Are there any prohibited uses?
Yes. You may not use Zipbitly for:
Spam, phishing, or malicious activities
Adult content or illegal materials
Copyright infringement
Malware distribution
High-risk financial services
We reserve the right to disable accounts violating our Terms of Service. Enterprise plans can discuss specific use cases with our compliance team.
